Our organisation is apolitical

Our organisation is apolitical and dedicated to ensuring “no lives lost” on Bondi Beach, but we need effective lobbying to ensure we can deliver on our mission.
Bondi Surf Club is very proud of strong relationships with all levels of government. At each level, there is acknowledgement of the vital role we play in saving lives on Bondi Beach and how we develop a positive community.
Over the past years we have received tangible support from local, state and federal government levels to assist in our lifesaving equipment, rescue operations for floods, developing our youth, protecting our club heritage, preserving our War Memorials, and providing education opportunities.
Our biggest challenge ahead is to update our building to meet the needs of members, while protecting our heritage.
We thank all the local candidates that have shown an interest in our rebuilding project. You may view their messages here:

Bondi Surf Club Silver Salties

Bondi Surf Club Silver Salties – SLSA held a very informative First Aid Awareness program over 2 weeks. It was presented by Peter Quartly, thanks Peter and to those that attended. It is with great sadness that

It is with great sadness that late last night Bondi SLSBC Long Service member Pete Meyer lost his battle with Cancer.

Pete took on the fight against cancer like he took on the surf or running the ball up in football straight, hard, and he was so brave until the end.

Pete was a Bondi boy through and through, growing up in Nancy Street North Bondi. He spent most of his childhood days on the golden sands of Bondi joining the Surf Club in 1990 when he obtained his bronze. Becoming one of the real characters of Bondi, his ability to make people laugh was second to none. Pete was an amazing athlete and surfer, with no wave too big or challenge too hard, he was one of the great ‘watermen’ of Bondi conquering every aquatic disciple. Pete, like many other Bondi members of the 80’s and 90’s, attended Waverley
