Forget sunscreen, Bondi! Peroni Nastro Azzurro turned up the heat (and the Italian Riviera vibes) for a one-day takeover of Bondi Icebergs. Celebrating their fourth year as the Australian Open’s official beer partner, Peroni unveiled their newest summer fling: Peroni Stile Capri.
This new lager is an ode to the Italian summer, capturing the essence of sunshine and the Amalfi Coast in a refreshing bottle. The iconic Bondi Icebergs poolside was adorned with blue and white striped umbrellas, sunbeds, and deck chairs, echoing the classic Peroni colours and the breezy Capri aesthetic.
A taste of the Mediterranean by the Bondi shoreline
Guests arrived in beach-chic attire, many sporting striped swimwear that mirrored the poolside decor. As DJ tunes filled the air, attendees enjoyed glasses of Peroni Stile Capri and a selection of Caprese-inspired canapés. Prosciutto-wrapped melon and goat cheese arancini perfectly complemented the citrusy notes of the new beer.
The night culminated with a DJ set by Tigerlily, keeping the party going as guests savoured Peroni’s refreshing summer offering.
A pop-up Peroni Capri Beach Club for all of Sydney
The Peroni Capri Beach Club wasn’t just for VIPs. Throughout the day, Sydneysiders were welcome to experience a taste of the Italian summer. From 11:00 AM, the iconic Bondi Icebergs offered complimentary entry, allowing visitors to explore the Peroni Capri pop-up. Local DJ Levi Neufeld provided the soundtrack, while Peroni summer apparel was gifted to attendees throughout the day.
For those seeking the full Italian beach club experience, the Clubhouse on the upper level offered a chance to taste the Peroni Stile Capri firsthand.
A star-studded evening celebrating Italian summer
As the sun dipped below the horizon, celebrities, tastemakers, and VIPs gathered for the official launch of Peroni Nastro Azzurro Stile Capri. The award-winning Icebergs Dining Room and Bar served a variety of delectable Mediterranean dishes to guests.
Model, artist, and fashion icon Sarah Ellen graced the event as the special guest, while DJ and music producer Tigerlily kept the party going late into the night.
“I’m thrilled to celebrate the launch of Peroni Nastro Azzurro’s newest beer, Stile Capri, here on the shores of Bondi Beach,” said Ellen. “One sip of this crisp beer transports me immediately back to the island of Capri, inspired by the Mediterranean.”
Asahi Beverages’ Head of International & Craft Beer, Kym Bonollo, echoed the sentiment. “We’re thrilled to celebrate the launch of our newest product at Australia’s most famous beach,” said Bonollo. “Sydneysiders were invited to experience it for themselves, soaking up the sunshine with a drink in hand from our Peroni Capri-inspired deck chairs.”
The Peroni Nasto Azzurro Beach Club was a successful endeavour, bringing a taste of the Italian summer to the shores of Sydney and offering a delightful way to experience the refreshing new Peroni Stile Capri.
