Pool rescue — Bondi win the N
Pool rescue — Bondi win the NSW masters championships
In April, Team Bondi competed at the NSW Pool Lifesaving Championships held at the Murray Rose Aquatic & Fitness Centre at Cranbrook School.
This year’s event was a joint delivery between Surf Life Saving NSW and Royal Life Saving. Pool rescue events are based around speed and the ability to use that speed in lifesaving scenarios, with obstacles and weighted manakins in place of real-life patients.
Our masters team exceeded expectations and collected a heap of medals. Congratulations to Julie Pritchard, Robyn Hill, Nixy Krite, Tony Gordon, Nathan Defries, Laura Manuel, Maddi Beale and Chloe McCardel who took a crash course and competed for the first time.
In fact, our team of 13 competitors brought home 10 gold, 14 silver and 16 bronze medals!
Congratulations to Jana Kowalski for bringing home 5 medals in the Under 15 age group including a gold in the 50m freestyle

Bondi IRB Racing Team will be heading to Queenscliff Beach for Round 2 of the Sharkskin Surf Life Saving NSW IRB Premiership 13th and 14th May 8am to 4pm (times vary depending on conditions)
Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) Racing gives an opportunity for the best IRB crews from across the state to compete against each other over an action-packed weekend promoting the skills required to complete a successful IRB rescue.
If you haven’t been to a carnival before it is an amazing sport to watch, using outstanding skills to achieve the wins.
Also, big shout out to our 5 mums who will be hitting the line Mother’s Day. I am sure the kids will love watching action packed mum in her little red boat.
Best of luck to the team that continued training hard over the weekend in preparation
Looking forward to seeing our family and friends in your Bondi
