WHATS ON THIS WEEK!! Guess what’s happening this week! It’s time to mark your calendar with a big, colourful circle for the Annual Bar Hop Surf Club Bar Hop 2023
📅 When? Sunday, 5th November 2023
🕛 Time? From high noon till the stars come out
📍 Where? We’re taking over Coogee -> Clovelly -> Bronte -> Tamarama -> North Bondi -> Bondi Surf Club! 🏄
The grand finale of this epic Bar Hop adventure will be at the one and only Blue Room, where the fun never ends. Join us for a night of laughter, surprises, and unforgettable moments.
Heads up:
We’re pretty confident there’ll be other shenanigans to keep you entertained along the way, so be prepared for some side-splitting action.
And don’t worry about going hungry, George has got the food situation covered – it’s probably going to be something deliciously Greek!

In recognition of International Women’s Day in March, Bondi SBLSC will once again hold its ‘Pink Patrol’ on Saturday, 2nd March 2024 –
In order to get ready for the 2024 Pink Patrol, cozzies will be available for you to pre purchase at a cost of $65. Please order and pay before 5pm on 29th November. The order will be final, with no refunds or returns after the order is finalised on this date.
FINZ Swimwear have helped us design these custom cozzies and are fantastic quality and a great fit.
Even if you are not able to attend the Pink Patrol these are fantastic cozzies for patrol or everyday wear.
As they are custom made for us the delivery date will be the last week of February 2024.

#BONDIIRBCREW// Congratulations to our IRB Bondi SBLSC family! 🌟

We are thrilled to announce the outstanding achievement of 12 newly qualified IRB Crew members who conquered the challenging assessments in the early hours this morning, battling some seriously tricky conditions with those massive waves. 🚤🌊 You all performed exceptionally well, and we couldn’t be prouder!

A HUGE shoutout and heartfelt thanks to our incredibly brave and dedicated trainers who continually demonstrate exceptional skills in guiding and shaping our new Crew candidates. 🙌 Your hard work and commitment are the backbone of our success.

And speaking of success, let’s give a round of applause to our very own Dan Rosado, who has officially earned the title of a full IRB Trainer. 🥳 Dan’s dedication and expertise have shone brightly through the many IRB courses he’s help deliver over the past two years. Congratulations, Dan! 🎈

#IRBCREWAWARD On Saturday 28th October at 6am our members doing their IRB Crew Award training will be hitting the surf for their assessment.
Best of luck to all our candidates that have worked so hard, dedicating time and energy in the early hours of the mornings on our beautiful Bondi Beach learning new skills.
Huge thanks to our trainers who put in countless hours in the boats training our candidates, working behind the scene and making sure all the equipment is set up and ready for every session.

A pause to reflect on the life of Louise Santos

Last night the club came together to reflect on the life of Louise Santos, our most recent life member, who passed away while on holiday in France on Tuesday.

She leaves behind her husband, Stu and her nipper son Josh – the club extends our sympathies and support to them. The family has asked that people do not send flowers, but would welcome donations to the club to set up a memorial award in Louise’s name – you can donate here https://bondisurfclub.com/get-involved/partner-with-us/donate/ and in the “In honour of” box please type “Louise Santos Fund”

She also leaves behind all of her aqua cap Nippers, her beloved board and competition sections, and the club that she made such a fundamental part of her life.

We will remember and recognise her life and service more formally when the family can return from overseas, but members were asked to think of their own special memories
