This week is relatively quiet compared to the past few weeks.
Sunday The 10th Dec – NO Bottles
Saturday The 16th & Sunday The 17th – Activation (for Disney) on the front forecourt
Sunday The 17th – Christmas bottles – Disco and live music – last bottles before the Christmas break – Hosted by Mark Dodson & Geoff Sumner
Bottles will resume Sunday, January the 14th – more info to follow

Bondi Surf Club — In a display of community strength and commitment to sun damage prevention, Bondi Surf Club proudly announces the outstanding results of our recent 10-day skin health activation, made possible through the collective efforts of 1545 participants. United with La Roche-Posay and our dedicated skin check champions, the event has left an indelible mark on the well-being of our community.
Achievements at a Glance:
1545 Skin Checks: An impressive number of individuals prioritized their health by participating in thorough skin checks.
1709 Suspect Spots Found: Vigilance paid off as a substantial number of potentially harmful spots were identified and brought to attention.
25 Melanoma Cases Detected: Early detection is the key to successful treatment, and this event played a crucial role in identifying and addressing melanoma cases promptly.
130 Non-Melanoma Skin Cancers Uncovered: The proactive approach adopted during the activation led to the discovery and subsequent management of various non-melanoma skin cancers.

What an amazing day at the club! Our community is truly coming together in a fantastic way. We’re excited to announce that we’re hosting La Roche-Posay, the skin check champions. Already, more than 1,000 people have signed up to have their skin checked! The event will be going on for the next 10 days, so there’s still time for you to join in. Just come down to the club and book your skin check.

Congratulations to Dori Miller and Annabelle Paterson for being selected as mentees for Cohort 5 of the Surf Life Saving Australia Women’s Mentoring program. And Nixy Krite for her 3rd year of being a mentor on the program.
We have had many amazing Bondi women participating in this program over the past 4 cohorts with great success.

Another outstanding day at the Bondi Legends Lunch with a great diversity of guest speakers – Sam Kekovich, Courtney Hancock, Danielle Scott and Tony Squires keeping attendees entertained. The lunch raised approximately $40,000 for the surf club, A big thank you to the Legends lunch team.

#WOMENINPOWERCRAFT
Bondi Surf Club is very excited to be hosting the SLSA Powercraft Training for Women in Lifesaving program.
For several years there has been a shortage of IRB Crew and Drivers within the SLSA membership, and many solutions and suggestions have been offered to alleviate this. There is also a significant underrepresentation of women who
hold these Powercraft awards (see below table).
We are looking for females aged 15 to 20 years to do their IRB Crew award in a specifically designed, women only training course, supported by SLSA.
The power of women training together is huge, and participants will be part of a supportive group of like-minded members who will assist each other through the course and become champions for each other ongoing.
If you are Proficient in your Bronze Medallion, female, 15 – 20 years and willing to dedicate yourself fully to the Program for the duration please fill in the form
